The former Governor of Plateau State, Minister of Labour and Employment, who is currently the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Senator Simon Bako Lalong has given reasons why he was live at the Shendam Mini Stadium to witness the final of the 2024 Plateau State Governor’s Cup.
Speaking to journalists after the end to end encounter that saw a mammoth crowd watched the thrilling match, Senator Simon Bako Lalong says: “I am super excited for the revamped Governor’s Cup by the current PFA and that’s the reason I decided to come watch this final live today and cheer both teams. As you can see, there are lots of players ready to be unleashed to the football world from here very soon.”
Senator Lalong concludes: “Although my home team lost, but the winners are also mine, so it’s a win for all. Congratulations to Jos North and her Chairman, Barrister J K Chris. We will come for the Cup next time.”
The former Governor also commended the Shendam LGC Chairman, Hon. Kemi Nshe for the upgrade and ongoing work on the Mini Stadium as he equally gave kudos to the FA Board of Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande for the great job of organizing many grassroots competitions.
It would be recalled that Jos North LGC beat Shendam LGC 1-0 at the final to emerge as the Champions of the 2024 Plateau State Governor’s Cup.
