Despite watching his team, Shendam LGC falling at home at the final of the 2024 Plateau State Governor’s Cup to Jos North LGC, the Chairman of Shendam LGC, Hon. Kemi Nshe, is undaunted but looking forward to the future.
Speaking to journalists after a final match the Shendam boys unarguably dominated the first half of which they had four of their shots denied by the upright, Hon. Kemi Nshe says: “I congratulate Jos North for emerging champions. In every competition, a winner must emerge, and Jos North are the champions of this year’s edition. Our players were unlucky as they were denied by the woodwork many times. That’s to show that it was not our day, but next time we will definitely lift the trophy.”
So impressed with the performance of the boys despite the defeat, Hon. Nshe promise to do the following: “I will keep these boys together, give them monthly stipends, prepare them and engage them for future events.”
“On the issue of sporting facilities, many sporting facilities are been upgraded. Not only football stadium, but basketball court is also receiving attention and don’t forget swimming pools are also being built among other sporting facilities.”
