Newly formed Cornerflag Football Academy are using the AfrisportPro Youth League to announce their arrival to the football scene as they put up another shocker yesterday as they defeated Plateau State AfrisportPro Youth League favourites and highly rated Mighty Jets Under-19 Team 1-0 to remain unbeaten in two matches.
Aliyu Bashir got the only goal in the dying minutes of the game after Prince Gobum was brought down in the 18 yard box.
It would be recalled that Cornerflag FA had in the first match held another favourites, Plateau United Under-19 Team to a 1-1 draw to be among the only 3 teams to have deprived them of a win in competitive games. Others include Mighty Jets Under-19 and Plateau Jets Sc. Only Mighty Jets Feeders Team had beaten Plateau United Under-19 Team, Mighty Jets Feeders defeated them at the semi final of the 2024/2025 President Federation Cup to qualify for their first ever final.
