Israel Davou devoured Mighty Jets U-19 with a brace in the 21st and 54th minutes as the unbeaten runs of the league leaders was brought to an end to end the very interesting encounter Rayfield Athletic Club 2 Mighty Jets Under-19 Team 0. It would be recalled that the first round between both sides ended Mighty Jets U-19 Team 2 Rayfield Athletic Club 1. Isreal Davour got his 4th goal thus far after netting a brace against Jazzy Stars FA as well.
The drama and upsets continued as bottom placed Jazzy Stars FA got their first point against a very physical Super Stars side.
The Galaxies, as Jazzy Stars FA are fondly called, are gradualing finding their lost footing, after coming back from 2-0 down to hold Super Stars FA to a 2-2 draw.
Super Stars FA went in front in the 22nd minute after Yahaya Haruna converted a penalty. Ishaq Usman doubled the lead in the 62nd minute after Jazzy Stars FA outstanding goalkeeper, Isaac Emmanuel could not hold firmly to the ball and hence, the simple tap in.
When it looked as if it will be the normal routine of defeat for the young Jazzy Stars team in this ongoing TPD League, came from the blues, James Oladotun with a goal in the 70th minute.
The same James Oladotun, who later won the Man of the Match award, laid an intelligent pass for John Itodo to slot in to end the explosive encounter Super Stars 2 Jazzy Stars 2.
The third match of Match Day 9 saw Plateau Jets SC paid Relentless FA back in their own coin as Ibrahim Muhammad 45th minute goal was more than enough to give Plateau Jets a 1-0 win over Relentless FA. It would be recalled that Relentless FA defeated Plateau Jets SC in the first round.
The last match of the day saw a four goals thriller as Red Arrow FA were held to a 2-2 draw by Joecas SC.
Hamza Ibrahim put Red Arrow FA in front in the 10th minute after Joecas SC lost a penalty awarded them.
Red Arrow FA went 2-0 up via the penalty spot perfectly converted by Jibril Jibril in the 25th minute after a Red Arrow player was brought down in the 18 yard box by the Joecas SC defence.
When Red Arrow FA thought they were comfortably going home with the 3 points, Enoch Mohammed reduced the tally in the 78th minute to end the interesting match: Red Arrow FA 2 Joecas SC 2.
