Plateau Basketball Chairman And It’s Board Members Donate Basketballs To Students At Holiday Training Camp In Jos
The chairman of the Plateau State Basketball Association, Dr. Chollom Paul Lomak, and its board members, today, August 17, 2026, donated basketballs to students participating in the ongoing holiday training camp at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos.
The donations aim to support young players and encourage grassroots development of the game in the state.
Speaking during the presentation, the chairman said the gesture aligns with the Association’s mandate to develop basketball across Plateau State. He added that the Association will also extend similar support to basketball academies in the state.
“We are committed to growing the game from the grassroots,” the chairman stated. “This donation is part of our aim to develop basketball. The Association will still reach out to academies across Plateau State.”
He thanked the students for choosing basketball and encouraged them to take the sport very seriously.
Receiving the balls on behalf of the trainees, the Plateau State Basketball chief coach, Solomon Ringsum, appreciated the chairman and the board for the support.
Coach Ringsum described the donations as timely, noting that the new balls will be used to improve the players’ training and overall games.
The holiday training camp at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium has drawn dozens of young basketball players from across the state to sharpen their skills.
