The brilliant performance of the very young Plateau State Athletes to this year’s National Youth Games has not gone unnoticed as eleven of the athletes have been shortlisted for invitations to the National teams.
Here are the shortlisted ones thus far:

7.AZI ISHAKU ISAAC – GOLF
8.GLORY WILLIAMS – DARTS
9.PRINCESS YAKUBU -DARTS
10.ROTMWAGYI MONDAY -GOLF
11.OBED YUSUF – GOLF.
Meanwhile, at the close of events on day 6 of the ongoing National Youth Games, Plateau increased the medal haul from 17 to 19
Obed Yusuf in Golf held his own in the Stoke Play against adversaries from Imo, Edo, and the FCT to clinch the Siver medal
Else where, Robinson David won bronze in the third place contest against his opponent from Yobe
Other results showed Plateau incurred losses in Kungfu, Badminton, Scrabble, Tennis, Squash and Darts
In Chess, with nine games to play, Plateau won the first and second games, lost the third, and drew the fourth
Events in Athletics, Para Athletics, Scrabble, Squash, Tennis, and Badminton will unfold on Thursday
So far, Plateau has won 19 medals in 9 Sports, consisting of 3 Gold, 6 Silver and 10 Bronze medals.
