The interim Coach of Mighty Jets International Under-19 Team, Coach Ado Garba Mohammed, has sounded it loud and clear that it’s not possible for Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC of Ilorin, popularly known as ABS FC, to leave Jos, the Plateau State capital unbeaten in the ongoing Nigeria Youth League Cup.
ABS FC, who on Tuesday beat Joecas FA of Jos 4-0 and held Plateau United U-19 team to a 1-1 draw yesterday all in Jos, will tackle Mighty Jets U-19 Team who just returned back from Kano yesterday, today by 3pm.
Coach Ado Mohammed, who is coaching the Mighty Jets team in acting capacity after Coach Lawrence Oputa was asked to step aside by the team Management headed by Mr. Mbum Ferdinand, said he’s not recovered from the defeat suffered in Kano against Kano Pillars U-19 team yesterday said: “I still regret the loss of my young boys and not picking at least a point after outplaying Kano Pillars at their backyard, and coming back home yesterday to still see a team coming to Jos the home of football trying to leave Jos without tasting defeat is not acceptable. It’s not possible, Plateau State is the home of football, ABS FC cannot come and leave unbeaten after beating Joecas FA 4-0 and drew Plateau United 1-1. Although my boys just came back from a very long journey yesterday but that will not stop us from putting in our best to get the 3 maximum points against ABS FC who are in the form of their lives.”
Coach Ado concludes: “I must commend my Team Manager, Sammy Adesoji, the club’s AGM, Salisu Nakande and the General Manager, Mr. Mbum Ferdinand, for giving me this very rare opportunity to lead this very big team, especially this Under-19 team filled with some very gifted and talented very young players.”
Coach Ado picked a 1-1 draw against Legacy FC in Abuja, lost 3-2 to Kano Pillars in Kano. He will be playing his third match today by 3pm against ABS FC in his acting capacity.
ABS U-19 FC, will be recalled defeated Joecas FA 4-0 on Tuesday, held Plateau United U-19 team to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday and today,which is Thursday, will battle it out with Mighty Jets U-19 team who also just returned from Kano yesterday after their slim 3-2 loss in a match they possessed and hence, made the Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa, so impressed to dole out five hundred thousand naira to the young Mighty Jets team.
