Plateau State FA Chairman And His Board In Lafia To Cheer And Motivate Plateau United fc And Mighty Jets fc To Victory In Chase For A Repeat Of 1999 Feat
Chairman, Plateau State Football Association, Hon(Dr) Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande has said his administration’s target this year is to make sure the FA Cup trophy comes back to Plateau State.
Hon. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, who after gracing the final of a grassroots football tournament tagged, Dele Jazzy Angwa Rukuba Peace Football Tournament last night, immediately hit the road this very early morning with three of his Board members to Lafia. In his words: “One of my administration’s target is to bring back the FA Cup, last won in 1999 by Plateau United fc to Plateau State, that’s the reason four of us are storming Lafia to give our maximum support to our two darling teams.”
Mighty Jets International FC are taking up Flight fc at 10am, while Plateau United fc will battle it out with Kogi United fc at 4pm.
It would be recalled that Plateau State teams have qualified to 11 FA Cup finals before eventually wìn̈ning ìt in 1999 when Plateau United fc beat Iwuanyanwu Nationale 1-0 to lift the trophy.
