Salmanu Abubakar Commends Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande And Football Lovers On The Plateau For Making Them Feel At Home, Calls For More Support As Wikki Tourists fc Faces A Real Test On Saturday
The Chairman of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi, Salman Abubakar, has not stopped singing the praises of football fans on the Plateau, especially the Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Hon(Dr.) Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande for making Jos so conducive for his team.
Speaking to journalists, the visibly happy and confidence Salmanu Abubakar says: “Jos is like a second home for us and I really want to show my appreciation to the people of Plateau State, the football lovers, and especially their FA Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, for all their support since we were moved to Jos from Bauchi to play our home matches. I really want to say a very big thank you once again for the support they’ve been giving me and Wikki Tourists fc for coming out enmass to watch us play.”
As it concerns the big battle before them on Saturday, Salman Abubakar said: “This match against Elkanemi Warriors fc of Maiduguri is a big northern derby of a match and I know and pray that we will win this match by God’s grace ”
He concludes: “I am expecting my players to give their utmost best so that we will get the best result that will make all Wikki Tourists fc family and our fans smile and happy at the end of the day. And am also using this platform to call on the people of Plateau State to come out in their numbers and support us as usual.”
The Wikki Tourists fc vs Elkanemi Warriors fc of Maiduguri match is slated for the New Jos Stadium, Zaria Road, Jos, on Saturday by 4pm.
Hosts, Wikki Tourists fc of Bauchi, are placed 16th of the NPFL table with 32pts from 28 matches, scoring 24 and conceding 29 thus far, while their guests, Elkanemi Warriors fc of Maiduguri are placed 8th on the league table with 41pts from 28 matches played, they’ve scored 22 and conceded 29 goals thus far.
