Police Force Football Team striker, Jackson Josiah has stated that the 5 goals (glut) he scored in match day 3 are through excellent teamwork and determination.
Josiah stated this while speaking with ssimedia247.com.ng after scoring 5 goals against the Road Safety Fc in the ongoing maiden edition of the Plateau State Inter-security Agencies Football Tournament.
The Police striker who is the leading goalscorer with 7 goals, said ‘I feel great being the leading goalscorer in the tournament so far as I give God the glory and the cooperation of my teammates without who I can’t get the goals.The Road Safety goal made us raise the momentum of our game which immediately resulted in an equaliser and the other goals coming’.
He assured that his team will keep working till they lay their hands on the trophy on the 30th November, that they promised their management of the Police Force of the trophy.
‘ We have assured the coaches and the management through the Commissioner of Police in the state and other officers that their support has been propelling us and the only gift we can give to reciprocate it is by handing over the trophy to them on the 30th November, 2024 by His grace’.
Jackson Josiah also appreciated the PFA under the leadership of Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, for this laudable effort in organising the tournament to foster healthy relationships between the security agencies in the state.
Also, speaking to all the teams after their matches the initiator and organiser of the tournament who is also the PFA Chairman ,Hon Dr Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, appreciated all the teams for their camaraderie so far as many of them have made friends in other agencies as that is the aim of the tournament.
It would be recalled that Jackson Josiah scored 2 goals in MD1 against Immigration service and 5 (glut) in MD3 against the Road Safety Fc, taking his tally to 7 in the tournament so far.
Quarter final matches comes up on Saturday 23rd November, 2024 at the New Jos Stadium from 8AM.
A total of 32 goals have been scored in the group stage as we hope to see more in the knockouts.
