The Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande has poured encomiums on the football community of Jos South Local Government Area and challenged other local government FAs to follow suit.
The PFA Chairman, who out of excitement and joy was called “Midwife of Football in Nigeria” by the Jos South Local Government Chairman, Engineer PD Gyang, made this assertion during the opening ceremony of the Jos South Football Coaches Metro League at the Du Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Honourable Kwande said: “I commend Jos South Local Government Area FA for instantly keying into one of the mandates given to all local government FAs when I came on board late last year. I enjoin all other 16 remaining local government FAs to hit the ground running.”
In his own words, the Chairman of Jos South FA, Engr. P.D Gyang: “We are very lucky to have an up and doing Chairman that is changing the narrative of football on the Plateau. I prefer to call him the midwife of football in Nigeria.”
