Legacy FC 0-0 Mighty Jets
Plateau Jets SC 3-0 GF Talent Developers
Tuesday, 5th November, 2024
Coming off the back of three successive defeats, Mighty Jets U-19 side looked very determined to end their losing strick after holding Legacy FC goalless at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Coach Lawrence Oputa’s lads fully understood the need to quickly get back to winning ways after three successive set backs but a point gained away in Abuja will surely serve as a moral booster going into subsequent matches.
Meanwhile, Plateau Jets SC U-19 side continued their impressive winning strick with a 3-0 thrashing of Grassroots Football Talent Developers of Kebbi State.
The Plateau side fired three quick goals inside the opening 12 minutes with Umar Bala scoring in the 7th minute after some good works from Bernard Ishaku from the left wide area to provide Umar Bala with the chance to shake the net.
Lanky striker Mubarak Abubakar who is fondly called “Osimhen” fired two goals in two minutes.
The striker used his physical strength and height to cause problems to the visitors’ defensive line on numerous occasions.
However, the visitors frustrated Plateau Jets SC in the second half as they prevented them from adding to their tally thereby ending the game at 3-0.
Plateau Jets SC U-19 who were 5th on the log with 7 points are expected to go higher in the newly updated league table.
