With the plea of “We want to come to Jos for football matches” chorused to the hearing of the Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Hon. Dr. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande by some little kids in Shendam during the Commissioning of the Somwhere Community Sports Arena, in Shendam, Shendam Local Government Council, the PFA Chairman has no choice than to kickstart the event in earnest.
The kids, while receiving some gifts like Biscuits, football, jerseys, etc, from the PFA Chairman,pleaded with him that they want to be in Jos once again for the Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang Under-15 tournament.
The Chairman who told the kids that their annual Under-15 tournament is already in the pipeline to have the final played on Children’s Day which is the 27th of May, 2025.
Some of the children who spoke to the media said it’s only in Jos during the Under-13 or Under-15 tournament that they are given biscuits, fruit juice drinks, lucozade boost, ribena and glucose after and during matches.
It would be recalled that Wase LGC Under-15 team emerged Champions last year after beating Jos North LGC Under-15 team at the final.
