*Fastfeet Athletics Club Backs Young Talent EjimeTochukwu*
EjimeTochukwu Okammor’s development has also been strengthened through Fastfeet Athletics Club, Jos, where he has trained for more than three years under the guidance of the club’s founder, Coach Tony Ogaranduku.
Ogaranduku described Ejime as one of the club’s most dedicated young athletes.
“EjimeTochukwu has been a product of Fastfeet Athletics Club for over three years. I saw him as a work in progress, and he has continued to work very hard. He puts everything into training because he wants to improve.”
According to the athletics coach, the club introduced regular performance trials after the MTN Champs competition to evaluate the youngster’s development every three months.
The latest assessment, he noted, confirmed another significant breakthrough.
“In track and field, every fraction of a second matters. Whenever an athlete reduces even a microsecond from a previous performance, it is a major achievement.
EjimeTochukwu has now set another personal best, and we believe he will continue to improve.”
Ogaranduku also thanked members of the media and supporters who attended the performance trial, noting that their encouragement helps motivate young athletes to pursue excellence.
*A Dream Bigger Than Records*,
Despite his age, EjimeTochukwu already has ambitious goals.
When asked about his aspirations after completing the latest trial, the nine-year-old confidently declared:
“I want to break the world record.”
Asked what he would do after accomplishing that feat, his response reflected extraordinary confidence:
“Set my own record.”
*Building a Future Champion*
Ejime’s journey illustrates what can be achieved when parental commitment, structured coaching and community support come together to nurture young talent.
From being celebrated nationally as “The Fastest Six” to becoming “The Fastest Eight”, and now setting fresh personal bests at the age of nine, the young sprinter continues to demonstrate steady progress.
With continued guidance from his father, the technical support of Fastfeet Athletics Club and growing public encouragement, Ejime Tochukwu Okammor is steadily building the foundation for what many believe could become an outstanding athletics career.
For now, every training session, every performance trial and every new personal best brings him one step closer to realizing a dream that extends far beyond the finish line—to one day represent Nigeria on the world stage and, perhaps, rewrite the record books.
