in his frantic effort to maximize the benefits of what the round leather game offers, the Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Hon Dr Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande has thrown his weight behind the ECWA Bukuru DCC Championship.
Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, who strongly believes in the fact that the only way to achieve a long lasting, solid and sustainable development is starting at the grassroots, commended the Church authority for venturing into this venture he tagged: “life changing and positive venture for the youths, the community and the nation at large”
Hon. Kwande, who supports the competition with a giant gold plated trophy to be won by the eventual champions and balls for participating teams, enjoin other religion leaders to take a queue. According to him: “One of the fastest tool in taking these youths off crimes and social vices is by positively engaging them. And by organizing such intra Church tournament, they are also giving these youths a platform to showcase their God given talents. Who knows, one of them might be a national hero tomorrow and others Nigeria ambassadors globally”
In his own reaction, a visibly happy Bukuru DCC Coordinator, Pastor Pam Irmiya Gyang appreciates the kind gesture from the PFA Chairman. Saying this aid given to make this tournament a success will spur them to do more.
Pastor Gyang told www.ssimedia247.com.ng the reasons for organizing this tournament: “We organize this tournament because we know fully well that it will bring up young talented ECWA members in Bukuru DCC together for the purpose of unity, promoting Christ-like life style and to give them career opportunities.”

The ECWA Bukuru District Church Council Championship kicked off on the 5th of April and the final will be played on the 12th of April at the Zang Commercial Football Field, Bukuru.
