In his frantic efforts to make his players maintain their impressive start to the newly introduced AfrisportPro Youth League, the Director of Cornerflag Connections, owners of Cornerflag Football Academy, Yusuf Yahaya-Kwande has imported football kits for all the registered players.
Yusuf Yahaya Kwande, who could not hold his joy and satisfaction with the newly formed team’s Performance thus far, especially after taking the league’s favourites like Plateau United(who they held to a draw) and Mighty Jets(who they beat 1-0) youth teams to the cleaners, to remain one of the few teams in the whole 6 centers nationwide yet to taste defeat, bought new football boots and shingard for the team.
In his words: “The essence of forming this football academy is just to meet our company’s yearning in giving the youths better lives by doing what they take joy and pleasure in doing which is football. Cornerflag FA is a platform created to make these youths fulfil their dreams of playing professional football both home and away and also for the National teams.”
He concludes: “We don’t see the professional kitting of these boys as anything, its just our own way of also leading the way on how the setup of a professional and well structured football club/academy should look.”
It would be recalled that apart from the fact that boys are always given light refreshments during trainings and matches, they are also paid match bonuses.
Cornerflag FA are second on the log in the Plateau State Centre, same 10pts with the table toppers, Plateau Jets SC.
Cornerflag FA, will on Tuesday take on Corinthians FA by 4pm at the New Jos Stadium.
