Cricket: *Aimola Donates Cricket Materials, Reaffirms Support for Plateau Cricket Development*
The Zonal Representative of the North Central Cricket Association on the board of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Oludare Aimola, has continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to the growth of cricket in Plateau State with the donation of cricket materials to the Plateau State Cricket Association.
Aimola, who has consistently supported the association for the past seven years, said the gesture was aimed at encouraging young cricketers and strengthening the foundation of the sport across the state and the North Central region.
According to him, t he North Central zone remains critical to the development of cricket in the country, stressing the need for grassroots development and adequate support for emerging talents.
“The gesture is to encourage young cricketers and associations to be grounded and be able to be counted among the best in the country. The North Central is key to the development of the game in the country,” Aimola stated during the presentation.
Receiving the donated materials on behalf of the Plateau State Cricket Association, the state Cricket Development Officer, Coach Aliyu Magaji, expressed appreciation to Mr Aimola for his unwavering support for cricket development in the state.
Magaji noted that the consistent backing from the North Central representative has significantly contributed to the progress of cricket in Plateau, especially at the grassroots level.
He added that the donated materials would go a long way in enhancing training activities and motivating young players to continue developing their skills in the sport.
The Plateau State Cricket Association reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talents and strengthening the game in the state, with hopes that continued partnerships and support will further position the state as a major contributor to cricket development in Nigeria.
