The Coach of Police Ambassadors Fc, Habila James has said their victory over the DSS in the quarter final and qualification to the semi final was due to hardwork, and adherence to game plan.
The statement was made by Coach Habila James of Police Ambassadors while reacting to questions from ssimedia247.com.ng crew after his team demolished the DSS Fc 5-0 in one of the quarter final matches at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday.
The soft spoken Coach, who dedicated the victory and qualification to the Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Adesina, the entire Police Command, DPO’s and DCP, because of their support in every area and to the memories of one of their players, who died last Sunday, and was buried a day to the quarter final match, Late Corporal Reuben Lamsin.
The Police Ambassadors tactician said ‘we always give God the glory for our victories, our Commissioner, CP Emmanuel Adesina, who we promised to lift the trophy for and to the memories of our late player Cpl Reuben Lamsin as we assured the family that we’ll win the competition for him and dedicate it to his memories’.
Coach Habila maintained that winning DSS with five goals is no mean feat but that will continue to spur them further getting the coveted trophy.
Also speaking to ssimedia247.com.ng, man of the match and tournament highest goal scorer so far, Jackson Josiah with 11 goals in three matches, appreciated the PFA under the leadership of Hon Dr Suleiman Kwande for the initiative in bringing the tournament to fruition and his team mates for the cooperation they exhibit on the field of play and sticking to game plans that has been working for them in goal scoring and playing pattern.
He said ‘it is just God, without who we can do nothing. He has been our pillar; the goals are due to teamwork with my colleagues, the support has been excellent and we promise to always approach each game as they come. As we progress, we hope for better performance than. I dedicate all my goals so far to the CP Emmanuel Adesina, Late Cpl Reuben Lamsin and the entire Police Ambassadors’.
It will be recalled that Jackson Josiah has 11 goals in three matches, getting a brace in their first match against the Immigration team, a glut (5) against the Road Safety Fc and a haul (4) in the quarter final with the DSS, who could not withstand the fireworks of the Police Ambassadors attacks.
