Barrister Caleb Mutfwang Under-13 Plateau State Governor’s Cup Gets Kickoff Date As Kids From 5 Local Government Areas Are Left Out

The much awaited and anticipated football fiesta for kids of Under-13 years of age to showcase their football talents and mastery finally gets a kickoff date.

After the draws, spearheaded and monitored by the PFA Chairman, Hon(Dr) Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, that also had in attendance the Deputy Chairman, Ezra Godit, who conducted the draws, had others like: 2nd Vice Chairman, Habu Pakwai, Chairman of Chairmen, Don Maren, Secretary, Pastor Isa Mohammed, Chairman of Coaches Association, Victor Wikadason, Chairman of players union, Bature Saleh, Chairman of NLO Division One League, Sammy Adesoji, Hon. Jonah Mafulul, Hon. Ibrahim Ajiji and all the 12 local government areas representatives in attendance as well.

The Under-13 tournament, that has Pankshin local government Under-13 football team as champions, will kick-start on Saturday, 6th of June, 2026 at the New Jos Stadium, Zaria Road, Jos.

The opening match will be between Jos South LGA and Wase LGA by 9am prompt.

Here are the groupings done at the PFA Secretariat:

Group A:

1.Mangu LGA
2.Wase LGA
3.Langtang South LGA
4.Jos East LGA

Group B:

1.Barkin Ladi LGA
2.Bokkos LGA
3.Langtang North LGA
4.Kanam LGA

Group C:

1.Pankshin LGA
2.Bassa LGA
3.Shendam LGA
4.Riyom LGA

Local Government areas like Jos North LGA, Kanke LGA, Qua’an Pan LGA, Mikang LGA, and Jos South LGA will not have their children joyfully display their God given gifts on the pitch of play this year as they didn’t register to play in this yearly Under-13 soccer fiesta for children.
