Gwarimpa United Football Club are the winners of the 5th Edition of the AMAC Football Coaches Council Unity Cup after overcoming Youthfutballer fc 2-1 at the final to lift the giant trophy.
The Council Leader, Kenny Owojori, who was visibly happy and satisfied with the organization and performance of teams said: “I must first and foremost commend the Local Organizing Committee(LOC) headed by Otunba Bob Oluyole for a job well done despite all the unbearable challenges we were forced to passed through during this year’s edition. I congratulate all the participating teams, their owners, coaches, players and even the fans that always come around to watch and cheer the teams.”
There were also individual awards for players that distinguished themselves during the course of the tournament.
Here is the list:
Highest goalscorer: David Adeyemi of Fine Trust FA. He netted 7 goals.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Illyasu Zaki of Gwarimpa United FC.
The Best Goalkeeper Award went to Fidelis Mathias of Restoration FA.
While the best Coach Award went to David Adediran of Youthful Ballers FA.
It would be recalled that Derby FA won the last edition.
