The only two Star Matches across the 6 Sates in Match Day 8 in both Imo and Plateau States, lived up to expectations but proved bookmakers wrong as the erstwhile leades were not only beaten but couldn’t find the back of the net.
In Imo State, perennial table toppers, Oisa Football Club, were finally dethroned by second placed team, Ekomzy Classics SC in a brutal way as they were outclassed, falling by 3-0.
In Plateau State, the same unthinkable happened as 3rd placed Joecas Sports Club beat erstwhile league leaders, Cornerflag Football Academy 2-0 to pave way for Plateau United Under-19 Team to go top. Plateau United Under-19 Team defeated Relentless FA 2-0.
Domret Philip and Oveh Jatau got the goals for Joecas SC in the 22nd and 28th minutes respectively to hand Cornerflag FA 2-0, their first defeat of the season.
The duo of Visham Ayuba and Michael Okafor netted the goals for Plateau United to still remain unbeaten as they compounded the woes of Relentless FA.
