This was the statement made by the Secretary of the Local Organizing Committee,Mr Michael Ogbonna,while reacting to questions from ssimedia247.com.ng after the semi final matches of the 2025 Dreamland-Abia State U-19 CUP at the Enyimba International Stadium,Aba.An elated Ogbonna,who eulogised the visioner of the tournament Mr Ndudi Ebube for the level of work put into the organisation of the tournament and the LOC, for ensuring it’s success.’It’s been a successful outing from day one to this conclusion of the semi final matches, the Games have been explosive that the first semi final ended with penalty shoot-outs while the second produced six goals,these are block-busters that made the scouts grinning from ear to ear because of the abundant talents on display’.Mr Ogbonna went on to praise the level of play by the teams “you can see that from the defence to the midfield and the attack, the players were excellent and this is an indication of the level of play in the tournament and that all the players are worth their onions”.On his part, the Coordinator of the tournament,Mr Samuel Agbai, rated the tournament high as he gave kudos to the CEO Dreamland FA, Mr Ndudi Ebube, the scouts -Wally Dieng, African Chief Scout for Athletico Madrid of Spain and PAU Fc of France, Ronain Albaric of PAU Fc France & Sion Fc of Switzerland,LOC members,teams and their coaches for the seriousness and cooperation.He said “I really want to thank the CEO, Dreamland Agency,the scouts,LOC members,media,coaches and the teams for making this tournament a success,its obvious the ten months of preparation is worth it.The teams have been excellent as they know any below par performance does not get Invitation again and that’s the reason the tournament has been growing.Very soon we hope to see these players in the world stage and we’ll all look back to appreciate the efforts we’ve all put in”.On the officiating, the Chairman, Abia State Football Referees Council,Mr GD Durunna, gave the Referees 80% rating as he was on ground all through the tournament as he assured even a better performance from the arbiters in the final.
