The desire of Dreamland U-19 from the beginning of this Invitational Tournament is to get to the final and lift the trophy for their Proprietor and fans all over the country. This was the reaction of Coach Ernest Attah of Dreamland Fc after his boys triumphed over the Enyimba U-19 team in the 1st semi final of the 2025 Dreamland-Abia U-19 Invitational Tournament at the Enyimba International Stadium,Aba.An elated Coach Ernest praised his boys and especially the Goalkeeper, Cletus Victor who stopped three kicks to deny Enyimba U-19 the final ticket. ‘Before the tournament,I desire was to come here get to the final and lift the trophy for our Proprietor and fans,thank God we are already in the final and hopefully the trophy is ours to lift’.He went on further to pay glowing tribute to his goalkeeper Victor Collins for stopping three penalties, ‘I will use this opportunity to appreciate my keeper for the wonderful job in stopping our opponents spot kicks, he has proven that our practices in the training is not in vain.Also, all my players for the wonderful display on the pitch. ‘Yes, our opponents are a good side, we are ready for them, as we are not leaving any stone unturned to lift the trophy’.On his part, Coach Chijioke Elendu of Enyimba U-19, praised his boys despite the loss in penalty shoot-outs ‘penalties can be for anyone, so kudos to the winners,we’ve learnt a lot from this tournament and we’ll work on them’.For the New Generation Coach, Uchechukwu Nwabukor, the final will be explosive as they are playing against an organized team but they also are equal to the task as can be seen in the semi final haven falling behind and responding with two quick goals and other two goals in the 2nd half.’Though we conceded early, but our quick response was massive with two successive goals in the first half and two goals again in the 2nd half.I knew I was going to win, so was calm.Our opponents in the final are a good side but we’ll overcome them’.Both coaches appreciated the organizers for a wonderful job of bringing International scouts to Aba.It would be recalled that Dreamland U-19 defeated Enyimba U-19 2-0 in penalty shoot-outs after the game ended one-all. The goalkeeper of Dreamland stopped 3 kicks of Enyimba U-19 and one hit the post while Dreamland converted 2 from the spot kick.
