It was all smiles and joyful celebration in the camp of Mighty Jets International Football Club as the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang paid a surprise visit on the club on their training ground to become the first Governor to do that since Fidelis Tapgun in 1993.
The Sports Loving Governor, who had earlier done same on sister club, Plateau United Football Club, praised the team and it’s management and went further to promise his government usual and unalloyed support to the club.
In his words: Mighty Jets is synonymous with the history of football on the Plateau and when you wear that badge, you must know what you are wearing. I expect that this season will be better than last season. Do your best to make sure that that name is respected.”
Barrister Caleb Mutfwang continues: “Mighty Jets is a big club. Many club that started with Mighty Jets have died but Mighty Jets is still surviving and I want you guys to do all you can to make sure that you advance that history of success of the Mighty Jets Football Club.”
He concludes: ” We will continue to give you every support you need. And am trusting God that not only will you improve this season, but some of you will take this opportunity to go to the next level in your career. Be rest assured that we are with you and we are behind you. And that you players will do your best to make sure that your supporters smile and are happy.”
