All is now set for the final of the maiden edition of the Plateau State NLO Clubs Pre-season Tournament as Jos Dream Big FC battle it out with Maichibi football club of Pankshin.
The final match, which will be played today by 1pm, will see the Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Hon. Dr. Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande as the guest of Honour.
According to the Plateau State NLO Clubs Chairman, Sammy Adesoji, “I must first and foremost commend the Plateau State Football Association, ably led by Hon Dr Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande for supporting SSI Leagues in making this very important tournament a success. We had to organize this tournament to prepare these clubs for the league proper. It’s unheard that Plateau State having more than ten teams and blessed with a lot of talents are finding it difficult to qualify for the NNL, which will in turns bring some growth to football on the Plateau and also give more players platforms to showcase their talents.”
It would be recalled that all the NLO Division One clubsides like: Vet Rovers fc, Mighty Jets Feeders, Maichibi FC, Mafeng FC, Deluxe FC, Atara FC, AC Midlands, Global Peace FC, Jos Dream Big, Plateau Jets SC, with exception to Ben Akwuegbu FC who refused to participate in the Pre-season Tournament. NLO Division One Youth league sides like Jazzy Stars FA and Realhays FA were also part of the Pre-season Tournament.
