Teqball number one player in Nigeria and 2024 World Series Most Valuable Player, Victor Oyemade has praised the Plateau State Governor to the high heavens after sponsoring what he calls “a World Standard event that even beat the ones attended outside Nigeria in Vietnam and Tunisia”
Victor Oyemade made this statement when asked about how Teqball fared in the year 2024. In his words: “I must start by commending the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang for sponsoring a world standard event compared to what I experienced outside Nigeria in Vietnam and Tunisia in the past year. It was a wonderful event. I never expected that such can be put up in Nigeria. A very big thanks to this sports loving Governor for this great and world standard event.”
The tournament that had participants from all over Nigeria, painted Jos in another picture for them. Oyemade reiterates: “This event made I and my colleagues to discover that Jos is a very peaceful and beautiful place. Kudos to the administration of the youths and sports loving Executive Governor of the State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang for their great efforts put in place to make it a memorable one for us. How I wish this great governor can be sponsoring this event every year in Jos, and with what I saw from Teqball players in Plateau State during the event, they will soon rule Nigeria and Africa at large.”
“Plateau State being the first State in Nigeria to sponsor and host such event, as put herself on the World Teqball map and will be respected at all times whenever Teqball is mentioned.”

Oyemade concluded: “I need say this again and again, may God bless the Plateau State Governor. A very big appreciation to him for this sponsorship and this should be a challenge to other States Governors in Nigeria to pick up and follow suit. One of the best means in promoting peace and empowering the youths is through sports, and Teqball is one of the major sports to invest in.”
Plateau State team emerged Champions of the maiden edition of the 9ja Teqball Challenger series held in Jos from the 25th to the 28th of November, 2024.
