The Football Association Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Naziru Sani, believes his team, Jos North LGC Football Team will carry the day even as they play against Shendam LGC Football Team in today’s final of the Bar. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s Cup.
A visibly confident Mallam Naziru Sani told journalists on arrival with his team to Shendam, venue of the much anticipated final of this competition said: “I must commend my boys and the technical crew overcoming all odds by making it to the final. We are also lucky to have a Chairman that’s always with us. Hon. JK Chris hasn’t missed any of our matches. And I must first and foremost appreciate the Plateau State Referees for their professionalism since this year’s Governor’s Cup started. With the good and fair officiating of Plateau State Referees since this competition started, I have that believe that Jos North LGC will surely emerge champions.”
It would be recalled that Jos North LGC Football Team were the Runner’s Up last year, finishing second behind the already ousted defending Champions, Mangu LGC Football Team, loosing 0-1 at Mangu Mini Stadium.
Jos North LGC Football Team defeated Jos South LGC Football Team 2-1 at the semi final in an end to end encounter to make it to the final. While their opponents in today’s final, Shendam LGC Football Team overcame Mikang LGC Football Team at the second semi final.
