The Assistant General Manager of Plateau United Football Club, Danjuma Isandu, has played down the various encomiums poured on him from all angles, saying without the support of the General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla and the Sports loving Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, all the feats and achievements recorded in his short tenure in office will not have been accomplished.
Danjuma Isandu made this known after the Plateau United Queens defeated Nazareth Queens and Mojo Queens in Abuja to emerge Champions of the Northern Conference. According to him: “I must first and foremost thank God Almighty for the enablement granted me to be able to give what I know how to do best. I also thank God Almighty for the feats recorded by teams under my control. I must thank you all for your commendation as well, but it should be known that after God, my General Manager, Mr. Habila Hosea Mutla and the Sports loving Governor of Plateau State, Bar. Caleb Mutfwang should be appreciated as well for the opportunity and a very conducive environment to operate. Having these two men in ones life is mission accomplished already.”
It would be recalled that since Danjuma Isandu got the mandate to oversee Plateau United’s youth teams and female team, the following achievements have been attained:
In January, Plateau United Under-17 team came first at the Zonal Championship in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Beating clubs like: Lobi Stars FC, Kwara United and Niger Tornadoes, among others, to emerge Champions.
Plateau United Under-17 team moved to the national National level after emerging champions at the Northern Zone, but could only come second to win the silver medal, after battling it out with the likes of Rangers FC of Enugu, Rivers United, Katsina United, Remo Stars, among others.
With the women’s team of Plateau United, Danjuma Isandu led them to emerge Champions at the State level by beating eternal rivals, Mighty Jets Mata and from there as the State champions, move to the Northern Conference, where they come tops and will lock horns with the Southern Conference Champions, the CATS Ladies today to know the National Champions of the Girls Play Sports Women Football Tournament.
