Plateau State raised the tempo of medals haul on day three of the 2024 National Youth Games by amassing seven medals to raise the tally to eight.
Yeipyeng Chollom, a ten year old Taekwondist, lead the medal heist, after a thrilling and captivating display in the female Poomse event to win two gold.
Iverson Eric followed suit in the male categry of the same event to scoop 1 gold and 1 silver.
Other medals won for Plateau on Saturday include the following;
ATHLETICS
1.Gyang Sunday Davwi – Gold in 1,500m race.
2.Nerat Sambo – Silver – 1,500m race.
WEIGHTLIFTING
Veirat Dachollom – Bronze, in the 49kg class, Snatch.
Weightlifting have concluded their events.
Other results elsewhere indicate that Boxing and Table Tennis have joined Karate to bid the Games, farewell.
