Plateau Peaks Prepare For The Premier League Season With A Win In A Friendly
In preparation for the forthcoming Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, Men’s Premier League, which is slated to dunk off on the 16th of May, 2026 in Jos, the Plateau State Basketball team, Plateau Peaks, knocked themselves into proper shape with a friendly match with highly rated Rebirth Basketball Academy.
In an encounter that kept fans at the edge of their seats, saw Plateau Peaks holding off a spirited challenge from Rebirth Basketball Academy of Jos to win 75-68 in an end to an end preseason friendly played at the indoor sports hall of the National Sports Commission in Rayfield.
Rebirth Basketball Academy impressed with aggressive defense and balanced scoring, keeping the game competitive through all four quarters.
Peaks came out strong in the first quarter with a score of 18-13. In the second quarter, Rebirth won 20-17, as they continued to push with another win in the third quarter with a score of 23-21.
The Mutfwang boys responded with an impressive display in the fourth quarter to close the game at 75-68.
The friendly game is part of Plateau Peaks’ preparation for the upcoming NBBF Men’s Premier League, which will dunk off in Jos on May 16th.
