Dele Jazzy Angwa Rukuba Peace Tournament: Relentless Queens And Lilac Squad Qualify For Female Final As Diamond Blazers Complete The Male Quarter Finalists
Relentless Queens FA and Lilac Squad FA have qualified to the maiden female version of Dele Jazzy Angwa Rukuba Peace Football Tournament after winning their semi final matches yesterday.
In the first semi final, Relentless Queens beat Yard Fermininos 3-1, while Lilac Squad beat Jazzy Stars Damsels 3-1 as well.
The ladies’ final, which is yet to be fixed will be played the same day with that of their male counterparts.
The last Round of 16 match in the male category was played yesterday as Diamond Blazers FA, blazes into the quarter final, beating highly rated Relentless FA 3-2 on penalties after the regulation time score ended 1-1.
Meanwhile, all the Round of 16 qualifiers will be given a set of jerseys each by the sponsor, Bamidele Yusuf this week.
The Ferencvaros TC of Hungary goal poacher reiterated that the name of the annual tournament, which is in his 3rd edition this year, is rechristened from “Dele Jazzy Annual 7-Aside Soccer Fiesta to Dele Jazzy Angwa Rukuba Peace Football Tournament, as a tool to calm the nerves in that community and to also show the whole world that Peace has finally returned to the once troubled area.
