With only two matches to go in all the States the AfrisportPro Youth League is played apart from Abuja that have some teams left with only one match, everything will go down the wire in Match Day 9, especially teams gunning for the Playoff tickets.
In Abuja, N-Youth Sports Academy remain top despite not kicking a ball yesterday as the two teams breathing down their neck, Maracana FA and Camp United FC, could only settle for a 0-0 draw yesterday. A win for N-Youth Sports Academy over New Boys FC on Sunday at the Area 3 Turf, Abuja, will see them pick one of the two Playoff tickets from that center.
Other results of Match Day 9 matches played in the Abuja Conference yesterday saw Bola Park FC beat Flying Jets FA 1-0. Sadiq Muktar got the only goal for his side in this end to end encounter.
The trio of Chinedu Okorie, Oche Bawa and Edward Ochigbo got the goals for Horvel Prime FC as they pummelled Youthful Ballers Academy 3-0.
Match Day 9 continues today till Tuesday in Abuja, Osun, Imo, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom and Plateau States.
In Akwa Ibom State, Blessed Stars FA can be said to be home and dry with one of the two Playoff tickets after garnering 24pts from 9 matches; while the one remaining ticket will be slugged out between the duo of Krane FA with 21pts and Blackpool FA with 18pts.
At the Osun Conference, it’s still a situation of no victor no vanquish as it concerns the playoff tickets between the quartet of Ridyem fc with 20pts, Ejigbo FA with 20pts, Adegbite FC with 19pts and Hommydays fc with 16pts.
The same applies to Plateau Conference with another 4 teams fighting tooth and nail for the two tickets at stake. Plateau United Under-19 Team, with 23pts, are still holding tight to the leadership seat after dethroning Cornerflag FA now with 20pts, two weeks ago. Joecas SC are also ruffling feathers and telling all and sundry not to write them off as it concerns the playoff slot having garnered 21pts to seat at the 2nd position. As Mighty Jets Under-19 Team, also telling all not to be counted out, although they have the outside chance of picking one of the two tickets if the three aforementioned slip. The youthful Mighty Jets Under-19 Team are seated 4th with 17pts.
At the Imo Conference, theirs is even 5 teams breathing down each others neck for the 2 playoff tickets. The quintet of Ekomzy Classics SC with 25pts, Oisa fc with 22pts, Chika fc with 19pts and Malick-Pro fc with 17pts will not want to drop any point this weekend.
At the Kaduna Conference, the leading team, HB FA with 23pts must win to remain top, as second placed team, Emirates FA will get 3pts and 3goals on a platter of gold without kicking a ball as their supposed to be opponents, has been expelled from the league; same applies to the 3rd placed team, Little Stars FA with 21pts. Their supposed to be opponent, Tempo Sporting, has also been expelled from the league. Hence, Little Stars FA, who were formerly sitting at the top of the table, will get a free 3pts and 3goals.
