Plateau United FC League Winning Squad Of 2Players of the victorious Plateau United Football Club that won the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2017 have taken their cries and grievances to the Sports loving Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang after the immediate past government of Simon Bako Lalong refused to redeem the promise made them.Speaking on behalf of the aggrieved players at the Plateau State Football Association Secretariat, the assistant captain of that winning squad, Lazarus Fan, says: “We are here at the PFA to lay our grievances on the failure of the past government of Simon Bako Lalong to redeem his promises of #1.5million and one plot of land to each player. Although it’s not this present Governor that made the promise but as a progressive and Sports loving Governor, we know if this get to him, he will surely wipe away our tears.”Lazarus Fan, who is now a coach concludes: “Only very few of us are gainfully engaged. Many of us that brought glory to Plateau State at that time are now in serious hunger. They can’t pay for rent, neither can they send their children to school or provide for their necessary needs. And that’s why we are calling on the government of the day to come to our aid.”The Captain of that winning squad, who is now undergoing a coaching course in Lagos, Golbe Elisha, opines: “First of all I want to appreciate the FA chairman HON Suleiman kwande for his quick intervention on matter on ground,as the captain of the team back then,I want to appeal to the present Government to look into the matter and fulfill the promise that the former Government has made,we much believed in the government of the day and with the leadership style of Governor mutfwang we have hope that he will listen to the cry of set 2017 league winners that make the state proud.”One of the goalpoachers to that success, Kabiru Umar, reiterates: I’m part of the plateau united 2017 set that won the league then we were promised 1.5m and a plot of land by Governor Lalong administration; but nothing was done then ,we are pleading to the present government of plateau state headed by his Excellency, Governor Muftang, who is a father who gives listening ears to everyone that come across him, a father that gives hope to the hopeless. We are begging him to come to our aid and fulfill the promise made by the previous government. As it concerns the current situation of Plateau United current situation is bound to happen in football the coach is new and the players are new too , it will take a small time for the players to adapt to the style of play of the coach and as u no all matches comes with his approach, is a young team that is willing to play but again they need some experience players that will compliment the effort of the younger ones, another thing is concentration , look at d time the team is always conceding goals at the die minutes of the games the have played, that’s were experience count, but above all the coach is a good manager and the players have to be rugged indeed to achieve their dreams for the season, I wish them the very best and looking forward to rejoice with them as they will be crowned the league champions at the end of the season.”Hamzat Owolabi on his own part, says: “As part of the Plateau State team that won the 2016-2017 Npfl league season.Seriously It was a dream come true for we the players, management, and government and the good people of Plateau State. To be candid,we were super excited when the government of Simon Bako Lalong made the promise of the sum of 1.5m and a plot of land to the team. We all just believe in this current government that they will hear our cry.”As it concerns the present Plateau United, although am now based in Portharcourt, Rivers State, i still follow Plateau United bomber to bomber. I personally love Jos and Plateau United, my second home is still Plateau State, and my wish for the current players and it’s management is that they will replicate that which we did in our time and also achieve more.”The Chairman of Plateau State Football Association, Hon.(Dr) Prince Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, commends their wisdom of passing through the right and civil channel. In his words: “I must commend you all for taking the right channel. Coming to the headquarters of football in the State to make your grievances known is a right step in the right direction instead of being uncivil about it. You guys are very lucky that we have a sports loving Governor on seat. A Governor who will stop at nothing in making his citizens happy. We will make sure we deliver your message to His Excellency.”Here is the full team:GOALKEEPERS 👇🏾Dele AjiboyeJohn GadiAyodele Segun John ShuaibuPanshak SilasDEFENDERS 👇🏾Golbe ElishaSalomon JuniorEmmanuel OlowoOgene ElijahEmmanuel James Hamisu Saleh Wash BitrusDaniel Itodo Obasi OkoroDamian LongmiapSimbad AdamsMIDFIELDERS 👇🏾Benjamin TurbaJimmy Ambrose Ibeh JohnsonLazarus FanIsah LenkatMafeng PamJerome DungSadiq Sita Bature Yaro jnrChima Ndukwu Umara Daddy Maurice Clinton PetersSeth MayiATTACKERS 👇🏾Kabiru UmarJoshua Obaje Peter Eneji jnrPhillip Azango Emeka UmehHamzat Owolabi Stanley Okoro Sunday NgbedeZack Opkele Myep Bulus-Ghai Reuben Bala Ogbonna Anayo Daddy Francis John Kim Abdul Mummini Emmanuel Odafe Musa AdamuCOACHING CREW :*Coach Kennedy Boboye (Technical Adviser)*Coach Audu pele (late) *Coach Maurice Longmiap*Coach Tunde Adedara (Shabash)*Coach Sunday Boyi, *Coach Cornelius Gopar(Starga) *Coach Edward Weng*Coach Adda Abdulraman.
