The much anticipated AfrisportPro Youth League finally kicked off in 6 States across the country with lots of actions, skills, saves, fantastic goals, and drama.
In Abuja, the quintet of Maracana FA, Bola Park FC, Camp United fc, N-Youth Sports Academy, and Jibril fc, started their campaign in the AfrisportPro Youth League with wins over their opponents. Only one draw was recorded.
In Akwa Ibom State, no draw was recorded as the likes of Willnam-Pro fc, Blackpool FA, Blessed Stars, Nichin FA and Immortality FC started with victories, with only one match between Full Life Academy and Krane fc rescheduled.
In Osun State, it was songs of victories for the likes of Telu FC, Ridyem fc, Leke Hamzat FA, and Hamzainab FC, as two matches ended in a draw.
In Imo State, all the matches recorded a winner with goals scored in all.
In Kaduna State, only 3 matches were played as the other 3 matches were rescheduled. Out of the 3 matches played, only Narayi Empire FC won while the other 2 matches ended in a draw.
It’s all upsets in Match Day One at the Plateau State center as favourites like Plateau United Under-19 Team and Mighty Jets Under-19 Team couldn’t record wins as they were both held to draws by both Cornerflag fc and Geelec FA.
Meanwhile, both City Rollers FC of Oshogbo, Osun State and Ikhana FA of Kaduna FA have been expelled from the league.
In a circular made available to www.ssimedia.com.ng, reads in part: “City Rollers Football Academy has failed to settle the mandatory fine imposed for violations of league regulations.
This clear disregard for the rules and the authority of the league leaves us no choice but to take this decisive action.”
As it concerns Ikhana FA of Kaduna, it goes thus: “The Disciplinary Committee has reviewed your conduct regarding your scheduled opening fixture of the 2025/2026 football season.
Your academy failed to present a team, citing player unavailability and sickness, and only on match day requested to register an entirely new set of players. This late communication is unacceptable under league rules, which require prior notice in cases of force majeure.
By failing to appear, Ikhana FA have breached the league participation regulation on match attended.”
