Plateau United Football Club will officially resume training on Monday, July 7, 2025, as preparations begin in earnest for the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The team is expected to regroup at their Jos base with both returning players reporting to camp under the watchful eyes of the coaching crew.
The resumption marks the start of an important phase in the club’s preseason programme, which will include fitness assessments, tactical drills, and friendly matches in the coming weeks.
In a statement released on Sunday, the new Sporting Director of Plateau United FC, Gideon Izang, extended warm wishes to the players as they journey back to camp.
“I wish all our players safe travels as they return to Jos for the start of preseason training,” Izang said. “This is a fresh chapter for Plateau United, and I am optimistic that with discipline, hard work, and unity of purpose, we will build a team that will make our fans proud.”
The resumption also offers fans a first glimpse into the direction the club will take under its new leadership, with Izang emphasizing professionalism, transparency, and youth development as core pillars of his administration.
