After sponsoring the just concluded Dele Jazzy Annual 7-Aside Soccer Fiesta where one million naira naira(#1m) and individual gifts and prizes were given out, Serbia based free scoring Bamidele Isa Yusuf has added girls to his football grassroots development.
The Vojvodina FC goals machine, so impressed with the curtain raiser match between Jazzy Stars FC and Blessed KAA female teams, Jazzy Stars Damsels FC and Blessed KAA Queens respectively, which ended 1-1, has decided to add the female category to the annual grassroots soccer competition.
Bamidele Isa Yusuf, who believes that giving back to the grassroots should be a priority of all interested in growth and development scored 18 goals this past season for his club in Serbia, finished as the 4th highest goals scorer as a Nigerian in the whole of Europe only trailed the likes of Ademola Lookman of Atalanta with 20 goals, Tolu Arokodare of Genk FC of Belgium with 21 goals and Victor Osimhen of Galatasaray of Turkey with 26 goals.
It would be recalled that Dele Yusuf scored same 18 goals with Rangers FC of Scotland hitman, Cyriel Dessers, but finished 4th having given more assists. Bamidele Isa Yusuf had 4 assists, while Cyriel had 2.
Dele Yusuf finished second highest goals scorer in the just concluded Serbia Super Liga as his club, Vojvodina FC, missed the continent by whiskers, finishing 6th on the log after been beaten at the final of the Serbia Cup, where they lost to double Champions, Crvena Zvezda 3-0. Crvena Zvezda also won the Serbia Super Liga.
