Plateau State athletes continued their winning streak in the ongoing Sports Festival with additional 4 medals on the day.
Powerlifting opened the campaign by first, Emmanuel Ugwu who went with the Silver in the 88kg class, lifting 170kg as JIBRIL MALAU settled for bronze in the 97kg class with a lift of 152kg.
Nankyer Milaham also booked a spot on the medals table in Dart, with a bronze in the 701 event.
The last medal of the day was recorded by Wash Pam in Golf, with an effort that was good enough for the bronze in Stableford.
This brings the total medals so far won by Plateau State to 16, consisting of 3gold, 3silver and 10bronze.
Still in Golf, both Sunday Morris and Beatrice qualified for semi finals on single match play for male and female categories respectively, while
Deborah is still leading the whole female category on eclectic. Her final will be on Friday by 8am.
Unfortunately for Tina Micah, she lost her match play in the semi final and will fight for bronze on Friday too.
In Volleyball male, the contest between Plateau and Delta was a beauty to behold as Plateau produced a master class performance, giving their opponent no chance and bringing them to their knees with 3 straight defeat. Next on line is Bayelsa, another good side that will test the might of the Plateau team on Friday.
The Hockey female team recovered from disappointing defeat to Delta by destroying Imo 3 – 0 to brighten their chances of progressing to the next stage. But the story was not the same for their male counterpart who squandered a 2 goals lead and fell 2- 3 to Delta.
Badminton, Squash, Boxing and Kickboxing still fired blank on day 4 as Taekwondo has bid the Festival goodbye without a medal.
Athletics, Gymnastics, Scrabble and Para-athletics will take center stage on Friday in continuation of the Festival and hopefully Plateau will shine again in some of these events.

- Para-athletics at MKO Stadium by 9am
- Squash and Badminton also at Alake Sports centre, 9am.
