Three bronze medals were secured for Plateau yesterday, 2 by Stephen Samuel in the 102kg category contest to draw the curtains on Weightlifting events. The other bronze was won by JOY AKHOGBAI in the Stroke play 18 holes, Golf, to add to a total of 12 medals consisting of 3Gold, 2Silver and 7Bronze.
Three other players in Golf have made tremendous progress in the Match play category.
Results in other Sports are captured below;
BASKETBALL male: The Plateau lads put aside their controversial defeat to Lagos, to dominate Oyo with a 61 – 41 scoreline, thereby securing the 1/4 final ticket.
DARTS; Tang’en Mark was halted in the quarter finals by Edo in 301 event while
Nankyer Milaham also took a bow in round of 16 of the 501 event.
HANDBALL female; Plateau fell 25 – 35 to host, Ogun in a fearless battle for top spot on the table.
SQUASH: Team Plateau lost out in all the singles events and hoped for a respite in the doubles.
TAEKWONDO; Once again the fighters crashed out in both the Fin Weight and Welta weight bouts. Attention is now focused on the Heavyweight combat on Thursday.
BOXING: Samuel Dahunsi won his bout 5-0 against Akwa Ibom in the 55kg fight. Aminu Sabo and Abdul Auwal lost to Taraba and Edo states respectively, in the 50kg and 60kg categories, in that order.

- HOCKEY: PL Vs Imo (F) 6:30 am. PL Vs Delta (M) 9:30am. All matches will be played at the Ijebu Ode Stadium.
- VOLLEYBALL male slug it out with Delta by 9am at Alake Sports center.
- POWERLIFTING will join the fray by 9am at NYSC Camp.
- CHESS will continue at Remo Stars Stadium by 8am.
- BOXING is by 8am at Baptist boys high school
- SQUASH is by 9am at Alake Sports Centre
- DARTS to take place by 9am at Ogun Sports club.
