The much talked about and much anticipated kickoff of the Northern Amateur Women Football Association League finally hit the ground running on Monday with four matches played.
In the first match played, Plateau United Queens defeated Jewel Queens of Gombe 3-0.
It was a 1-1 draw between Afunkonyo Babes of Taraba State and SIK Paragons of Jos.
In the third match of the day, Joekay Ladies were 3-0 better than Blessed KAA both of Jos.
While it was another case of no victor no vanguish between the duo of Jaba Queens of Kaduna and Bwaruaune Babes. It ended 1-1.
Here are matches slated for today at the St. John’s College Playground:
SIK Paragons vs Jazzy Stars Damsels- 8am
Bwaruaune Babes vs Jewel Queens- 9:30am
Blessed KAA vs Afunkoyo Babes- 3pm
Plateau United Queens vs Zango Queens- 4:30pm.
