Plateau State Director of Sports, Prof. Ezra Gunen, officially declared The Time is now to make Table Tennis great again, Tournament opened at Rwang Pam Stadium on Monday, March 24, 2025. The event marks a renewed effort to elevate table tennis in Plateau State, fostering talent development and promoting competitive excellence.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Gunen emphasized the importance of reviving table tennis as a key sport in the state. He underscored the need for grassroots development, investment in modern facilities, and community engagement to restore the sport’s former glory.
“We have a rich history in table tennis, and it is time to bring it back to its peak,” he stated, urging stakeholders to support young players and create opportunities for growth.
The tournament will showcase top talents, providing a platform for emerging stars and rekindling enthusiasm for table tennis throughout Plateau State.
The Tournament which will end on Wednesday 26th March 2025, promises mouth watering Cash prizes for the top 2 and and all semi finalists as joint 3rd.
