Mighty Jets U-19 side produced one of the greatest comeback in a football game as they came from 2 goals down to thrash Kwara United U-19 side 5-2 at the New Jos Stadium.
Jets U-19 were behind in as early as the 6th minute when Ayodeji Abayomi finished superbly to put the visitors Kwara United U-19 ahead.
The visitors would later make life uneasy for Jets U-19 in the 40th minute when Atoyobi Mujib headed in a second goal that was highly disputable by the Jets bench who felt an infringement was committed before the goal which the referee ignored to pile more pressure on the home side.
However, Jets U-19 were determined not to end the first half without reducing the deficit as Prince Gobum fired a shot into the roof of the net in the 44th minute to make it 1-2 at half time.
It was all about Mighty Jets U-19 in the second half from the blast of the whistle and just when Kwara United U-19 could not contend the pressure, they conceded the equalizing goal in the 55th minute as the Tochukwu Ibedu classy show started to make the scoreline 2-2.
Ibedu, the former Jazzy Stars FC player again would later put Jets U-19 side in the lead with a fantastic finish in the 60th minute to make it 3-2 for the home team.
Impressive Ibedu would then put the game beyond the visitors 10 minutes later to make it 3 for himself and 4 for his team to make the scoreline 4-2 for Jets U-19.
As the game was about rounding up with only a couple of minutes left to play, Ibedu seemed not done yet with scoring as he netted his 4th goal of the match in added minutes to end the game 5-2 in favour of Mighty Jets U-19 side.
With this superlative performance, Tochukwu Ibedu is now one of the top scorers in the league with 12 goals as Mighty Jets U-19 claw their way into the top 4 on the log.
